About the Artist

Scott Gibson is an industrial designer whose experience spans over 35 years. His lifelong passion for fishing, along with his love of art and invention has led to this series of beautiful fishing lure images, each hand-drawn by Scott, using modern computer illustration techniques. Presented as larger-than-life size in the prints offered, every lure inspires a new appreciation of the artistry and inventiveness displayed by their original creators.

Accuracy and Insight

Every lure tells a story of the inventiveness and entrepreneurial spirit shown by its maker. Some producers were artisans, others were manufacturers, and all showed remarkable originality in their designs. The illustrations try to show as faithfully as possible what these lures would have looked like when brand new, with fresh colors and crisp hardware, ready for action. It's hoped that this is how their makers would want us to appreciate them.
